Vogue Covered

Upon all this magazine work I have been doing I had to find inspiration. Since I chose Vogue to  be my inspiration for my magazine cover redo I saw quite a bit of amazing artistry in some of the covers whilst doing my research. I then researched some of the beauty that is Vogue and their covers and put together some of my favorite covers  I saw whilst researching.

I also stumbled upon a little gem when it comes to Vogue covers, one of my favorite artists of all time Salvador Dali did a  series of covers for Vogue which included a self portrait of  Dali himself and here they are.

Surreal Amazement

There are times in life when one is rendered speechless. When I saw these that whole speechless sensation happened to me. Personally Surrealism is one of my favourite art periods and photography has become a new passion for me so witnessing these two fuse in a flawless way was something I felt I had to be shared. Memoirs of a good movie

 

Albeit this is an excellent movie designing a poster for it was not so easy because I  really wanted to use a portrait for my poster but the original movie poster had the exact same portrait I wanted to use . I had to improvise and I'm pretty chuffed only problem is I don't know which one to chose to hand in. 

Some Serious Ads

A designers jobs is not only to make things look "pretty" but it is to inform and to cause a reaction . These adverts are emotionally gripping and some are quite shocking but they get the message across effectively and simply. These images were sourced from tutorart
